Transparency From Day 1

It is important for our team to be clear about what is involved when you purchase and install one of our solar energy systems. It is an investment and we want to support you. The beginning of the process can take a while, because, for many of our customers, purchasing a system is a big deal and deserves consideration and thought.

However, it takes only a month from when you agree on the final proposal to installation. We understand that once you purchase a solar energy system, you want your investment to start paying back!

We have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. Please let us know if we are not meeting your expectations and a plan of action will be implemented immediately!

BC Hydro Net Metering for Solar Energy - How it Works

Step 1

Solar panels convert energy from the sun into direct current (DC) electricity, otherwise called solar PV generation.

Step 2

Inverters convert DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity, which is what a home and the BC Hydro grid uses.

Step 3

The solar PV generation powers the home first, with excess PV generation being sent to the grid.

Step 4

Your smart meter measures how much grid electricity has been used by a home, and how much excess PV generation has been sent to the grid.

Step 5

Excess solar PV generation is credited on the BC Hydro bill. Homes with solar energy systems tend to bank credit through the spring & summer and use it up in the fall & winter.
